How to Play
Use your arrow keys (or swipe on mobile) to move tiles. When two tiles with the same number touch, they merge into one (2+2=4, 4+4=8, etc.). The goal is to reach the 2048 tile!
Winning Strategy: The Corner Method
The most reliable strategy is keeping your highest tile locked in one single corner (e.g. bottom-right). Never swipe in the opposite direction, and build a descending chain along the edge: e.g. 1024, 512, 256, 128.
Math Behind the Game
Every merge follows powers of 2: 2¹=2, 2²=4, 2³=8 ... 2¹¹=2048. Reaching 2048 requires at least 1,024 individual 2-tiles.
Theoretical Maximum
On a 4×4 grid, the absolute highest theoretical tile is 131,072 (2¹⁷), yielding a maximum score of 3,932,156!
