Sudoku is a Japanese logic puzzle with simple rules that provide endless mental exercise. The objective is to fill a 9x9 grid so that every row, column, and 3x3 block contains the digits 1–9 without duplicates.
Each horizontal row and vertical column must contain every digit from 1 to 9 exactly once.
The grid is divided into nine 3x3 blocks bounded by thicker lines. Each block must also contain the numbers 1–9.
In more challenging sudokus, activate pencil mode to note candidate digits. As alternatives are eliminated, the correct number appears naturally.
